Website Design

TOGETHER website designs

Website design done right!

Our website design process starts with listening to you and becoming deeply engrained in your mission and its impact. We need to get under the hood of your work to tell your story to your donors, community, stakeholders, clients, and volunteers.

Your website should:

  • Champion your Mission and your impact

  • Tell your story.

  • Invite the visitor to want to know more and engage.

  • Be a helpful resource for those currently engaged in your programs and services.

Our Creative Design Brief will provide the purpose and goals of your website

The Building Blocks of Your Nonprofit’s Website

  • Donations

The ability to receive donations allows supporters/visitors to support the mission. It will also build community, user engagement, and loyalty.

  • Program Services

Describe your mission programs and services. Using data and stories, describe the impact your are having in your community and beyond.

  • Impact & Success Stories

Sharing success stories of people who have been helped by the nonprofit's programs and services is a great way to show mission impact and grow support for the work.

  • Events

Promote any fundraising events, training, or workshops you are having that people can sign up for and benefit from. Describe the impact and benefit this is having.

  • Volunteers

Provide an opportunity to showcase the role volunteers play in supporting the mission and how people can sign up to become a volunteer for your organization.

  • Blog and Newsletter Posts

Create opportunities for keeping in regular touch with your members and supporters through regular blog posts and other useful information about your work and its impact.

  • Board Access

Create a private members only area where your board members can access useful information like board minutes, meeting agenda, budget, governance info etc.

  • Website Management

Once the website has been created, it can be easily kept up to date with new information in house without requiring technical skills or specialist training.

  • Website Usage Data

Once your site is live, you will want to know information about how many people visit and interact with the site. Usage analytics will provide valuable data.

Website design structure

Your nonprofit website structure will be designed to help your visitors find the information they need quickly and easily.

  • About Us page provides information about your nonprofit's mission, history, and leadership team.

  • Programs and Services pages provide detailed information about your nonprofit's programs and services, including who they serve, how they work, and their impact on the community.

  • Volunteer page provides information about volunteer opportunities, how to get involved, and the benefits of volunteering.

  • Donate page makes it easy for visitors to donate to your nonprofit by including a donate page that provides information about how donations are used and their impact on the community.

  • Events page highlights upcoming events, fundraisers, donor appreciation events, etc.

  • Blogs can be a great way to keep visitors engaged and informed about your nonprofit's activities and impact.

  • Contact Us page: Make it easy for visitors to contact your nonprofit by including a Contact Us page that provides your organization's address, phone number, and email address.

  • Clear and concise messaging

  • Engaging visuals: Use images and videos to help tell your nonprofit's story and show the impact of your work.

  • Call-to-action buttons: Include clear call-to-action buttons that encourage visitors to donate, volunteer, or get involved in other ways.

  • Social media links: Include links to your nonprofit's social media profiles to make it easy for visitors to follow and engage with you on those platforms.

  • Contact information: Make sure to include your nonprofit's contact information, including phone number and email, so visitors can easily contact you.

Our Process

  • Before starting the design process, clearly defining what you want the website to accomplish is essential. Is it to increase donations, raise awareness, or engage with volunteers? Knowing your goals will help you create a website tailored to your needs. Knowing your target audience is crucial in designing a website that resonates with them.

We achieve these goals through completing a Creative Design Brief and collecting information for the website through Pre-build Questionnaire.

  • We will create an initial draft design based on the Creative Design Brief and re-Build Questionnaire. TOGETHER we will create a design structure and format that each page will follow.

Clear and compelling messaging that quickly communicates the organization's mission, goals, and impact. Use simple language and visuals to make your message easily understandable.

    • Engaging visuals using high-quality images, videos, and infographics can help grab visitors' attention and convey your message.

    • User-friendly navigation that allows visitors to quickly and easily find the information they are looking for.

    • Clear calls-to-action encouraging visitors to take specific actions, such as donating, signing up for a newsletter, or volunteering.

    • Easy-to-find contact information including phone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses.

  • Launching a nonprofit website is an exciting and important milestone, and there are several steps you can take to ensure a successful launch.

    • Finalize the website design and ensure that all design elements are in place and that the website looks and functions as intended.

    • Integrate with other tools: Integrate the website with other tools that you will be using, such as a donor management system, email marketing platform, and social media accounts.

    • Plan for website promotion such as through social media, email campaigns, and word-of-mouth. Consider running a launch event or social media campaign to build excitement around the website.

    • Once all of the above steps are complete, it's time to launch the website! Make sure all stakeholders are informed and ready to promote the website through their channels.

    • Monitor and adjust: After the website is launched, monitor its performance using analytics tools to see how visitors are interacting with the website. Make adjustments as necessary based on user feedback and performance metrics.

  • Squarespace is a great and easy platform for keeping your website relevant and up to date. We will provide 1:1 training with a staff person of your choice on the basics of website design and updates.
